Upon several restarts, and changing my network from a non-broadcasting to broadcasting name network, things seem to be much better. I still cannot get the keyboard firmware update to work on the macbook right. The hard drive in the mini finally went out, so I have to find my tools to open it up again. I suppose 4 years of non stop use isn't bad though for that style drive. I am contemplating just purchasing an os X server used, and mounting it in the closet, seems simpler then file sharing or an outboard on the airport extreme.

I have it installed on three of five machines: my MBP, a MacBook White and a PowerBook G4. I haven't noticed any problems on those machines. I still have a MacBook Black and the Mac mini to go. Hopefully, no issues when I do those.

I saw this update, did it on my dads macbook white...it killed it...seriously, wifi went into the toilet, same on the mac mini. I have had no problems on my powerbook G4, so i am making the assumption it is the intel chipsets... After spednign about 25 minutes on each unit I got the wifi back, I can no longer use a non broadcasting network, which makes me little dissapointed but I just secured it instead, between that and MAC address permissions I still feel safe.
