And now announcing: OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard!

Another announcement, this time for OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Apple is saying this release is focused on improving performance, adding stability and shrinking the footprint of the Mac OS. Performance gets a memory boost with enhanced 64-bit support. 16TB worth. Enhanced multicore support. Business users will like the support for Microsoft Exchange 2007 that will be added to Mail, iCal, and Address Book.

Even if there are no new features, 10.6 will be a significant upgrade.

I know there will be some folks that will be happy about the stability improvements. I’ve had pretty good results; the few issues I’ve seen have been fixed in the updates.

I wonder what they’ll announce tomorrow…
