GONE – Free Pool Table

Update: The pool table has left the building and is on it’s way to a new home! If you were interested, I sorry but it’s gone.
How would you like to have your very own pool table? How about if I said it was free? Yes, free. If you are in the Phoenix area, we have a pool table looking for a new owner. This is a dark laminate covered pool table with black and gold trim. It measures 8′ 6" x 4′ 9" (exterior) and 7′ 6" x 3′ 9" (interior bumper to bumper). The table was recently re-felted. It comes with…
- 1 full set of balls
- 1 partial set of balls (missing 7 and 13)
- 1 dark wood rack, gold trimed
- 2 cue balls
- 5 cue sticks (2 new, 3 older, extra cue tips included)
- 1 bridge
- 1 dark cherry wood stand with four (4) cork-bottomed cup holders for your favorite beverage-of-choice
- several cubes of blue cue chalk
- a cylinder of hand chalk (fits on a peg on the stand)
Did I mention it was free? All you have to do is come and get it, or arrange to have someone move it for you (which is what we did). The table can be disassembled and it’s a straight shot across a tile floor and out our front door. Our home is a single story so there are no stairs to worry about.
So what’s the catch? It’s free so there must be a catch, right? First, it isn’t showroom new; there are a few small nicks in the laminate. Second, it needs new pockets. The table has pockets but they are the wrong size and have a tendency to slide down. And third, this table has a single piece of slate rather than a three-piece arrangement. That gets you a beautiful playing surface with no seams but it weighs around 600 pounds.
