I have to say I agree, I have been using webassist super suite for some time now and fair enough it has saved me allot of time but at the same time I have lost count as to how many times I have had to un-install and re-install (which tends to take an entire day to do so!).
Actually this has been a nightmare with the plug-ins, one Min they work the next they spit out errors and there we go again re-install day.
Support is useless and dysfunctional the forum doesn't even allow you to login half the time and hell, they don't even use their own tools/code on their own site.
Now if that doesn't say everything then well I don't know.
But anyway, I was just looking at some updates to see if by chance there were any plans for HTML5 & CSS3 for their site sculptor, which even today years after launch there are none.
I guess it wont be long till they die and fade away.

I agree that CSS Sculptor has it's flaws, but overall I think it's an excellent product. I used it to learn CSS and still use it to create my basic layouts from Photoshop designs. I think that's where IRS most useful, because if you rely strictly on their preset layouts and designs, you'll end up with a pretty bland site. But it's very useful in creating the div structure of the page and while patty at times, still faster than using Dreamweaver or hand coding.

I have been using CSS Sculpter since version 2, and have upgraded to version 3. On windows XP with 4 GB RAM and CS4, it is SLOW and does crash from time to time, but not often. But, it does work for the most part and found it to be quiet useful.

On windows 7 with 16 GB RAM and CS5 it zips along fine, hasn't crashed yet and is a pleasure to use.

Overall, I have to say the product has saved me a lot of time and enabled me to make some pretty nice web sites.

All the best.

No, I haven't, but to be fair I haven't been looking either. I have CS5 and Dreamweaver has made improvements in it's CSS generation, Especially with their HTML5 plug in.

As far as WebAssist goes, I file them in the Junk mail. I am truly surprised Eric Myers would lend his name to them.

I have to agree with your comments on CSS Sculptor, especially the attitude that WebAssist seems to have (ie. forget about any actual support or customer relations).

I'd be interested in knowing if you ever found an alternative app for it?

Have you previously used Neat on a PC? IMHO, the Mac version 2.1.9 pales in comparison to the current PC version. Currently I'm stuck with mac v2. Which cannot run categorized reports. The people a Neat are great. But...why doesn't their mac product match the power of the PC version and/or make a version that will run on a VM or bootcamp partition?

I wonder if they (Nikon) just can't get the resolution out of the FX sensor to make a good 1080p image. On the other hand, if they release a D3Xs, that might have 1080p capability.

Still, if I wanted to shoot video I'd get a video camera to do it. The rig that Vincent Laforet and his team have build around a Canon 5D Mark II is huge. Money wise, I'd have to think he's spent enough money to buy a a high quality video camera.

Of course I might be a dinosaur too. I'm going on a photo shoot this afternoon with a friend up to Arcosanti and I'm taking two cameras: my D300 and my F3HP.

Nice upgrade but only 720p for the video? Canon is 1080p. Not that everything needs to be 1080p but I think it would have given the video capability more credibility.
